Youth Don’t Need AI Friends… They Need Real Ones

If we could shout one thing from the rooftops, it would be this:


The idea that chatbots can substitute for connection illuminates a profound
misunderstanding of what it means to be human. It suggests that intimacy can be
simulated, that emotional safety can be programmed, that being known—truly known—
can be achieved through a product update.


It can’t.
